Mike Adams mentions a breakfast shake he makes every day for breakfast. Here is his basic recipe.
Using a blender, pour in some soymilk (a cup or two). Then start adding powders: 1 tablespoon of stevia extract powder (or a lot less than that if it’s pure stevia extract powder), 1 heaping tablespoon of Jenny Lee Supergreens, 1 or 2 tablespoons of chocolate rice protein powder, and 1 teaspoon of coral calcium powder. (The measurements don’t have to be exact. Experiment with it yourself.) Then add a heaping spoon of coconut oil or the nut butters.
When just starting out, if you need more sweetness, you can add a banana or part of one. For more antioxidant power, you can add blueberries, strawberries, or other fruits.
I’ve been experimenting with this recipe. I don’t have Jenny Lee Supergreens yet (they are being shipped), but I have been using Berry Green, a whole food concentrate. I don’t have coral calcium, so I skip that. I’m using the chocolate rice protein powder and some Trader Joes creamy unsalted peanut butter.
Just a note on the peanut butter. Regular peanut butter, as Mike calls it, is more like peanut butter candy. All the hydrogenated oils that are added to make it smooth and to keep the oil mixed together with the peanuts, makes it look different and it loses the sort of sweet smell of real, plain, ground up peanuts. Yes, you have to mix it before use, to get the oil mixed back in. A small price to pay, for eating something natural and healthy.
I’m still working on the mixture I like best. I had one today, (July 9), that was pretty tasty, if a bit more powdery than real smooth. And it kept me from being hungry for about 5 hours.
I’ll come back to this as I refine my recipe for this healthy breakfast shake.
