I got my new shipment from JennyLee Naturals. They have a new fruit and vegetable based powder called Prevention Powder. They had emailed me a simple recipe, so I tried it.
I used 2 cups of soymilk, 1 tablespoon of Prevention Powder and some stevia powder. They suggested rice protein as well, but mine is chocolate flavored and I didn’t think that it would work well with it.
The drink came out nicely bluish-purple, which makes sense since the major ingredient is blueberries. It tasted good. I will try it with some ice cubes, maybe a banana and also some frozen berries. I like it colder.
I’ve found with any kind of superfoods powder, you need not to skimp on the liquid. I was using way too little soymilk to start, and it came out kind of gritty and thick. More liquid lets the powder dissolve.
I will try this recipe with my Superfoods powder and my Berry Green powder. It’s always interesting coming up with new recipes!
