America is a growing society, weightwise. Obesity is on the rise. A new study by Emory University (reported by Forbes.com) found that this is behind an increase in private healthcare spending. Spending rose from 3.6 billion to $36.5 billion over a fifteen year period. Half of this increase of ten percent was not caused by increases in cost, but by increases in the number of people being treated for chronic health conditions.
We all pay for these costs. In money, and in ill health, for ourselves and others, our relatives, friends, co-workers. We need to take control of our own health. Not to rely on doctors and miracle drugs. We need to eat healthier, exercise, use supplements wisely to gain real health. I’ve started a series of articles on how to start down this path to real health. You can be healthy, fit, grow old without all the problems we cause by eating foods that destroy our health.
