I’ve already noticed some effects from my new way of eating and supplementing. So I wanted to share them with you. I do want to stress this is just my personal experience. Your mileage may vary.
My blood pressure is about 125/75 for the last two days, without my blood pressure medication. It did take about 3-4 days, but I’ve been checking my blood pressure 4-5 times a day with my handy ReliOn blood pressure machine, that you just strap around your wrist. This is major for me, as I’ve had high blood pressure most of my adult life. I only started taking meds for it about 4 years ago. I hate taking prescription drugs if I don’t have to.
I’ve also lost about 5 pounds this week. That is great, I’ve been on a plateau for about 3 weeks.
I’ve noticed I have more energy. And I recover from exercise more quickly.
Another effect is that some psoriasis in my scalp seems to have gone away. I’ve had that for years now.
When I have a superfoods shake, I don’t get hungry for at least 3-4 hours. I’ve been trying to really pay attention to my body and eat when hungry, and I just haven’t been hungry. Drinking a lot of water also helps.
The food around the house has improved as well. When I buy something new, I always read the label. I’m not buying anything with MSG, hidden or otherwise. I’m also avoiding hydrogenated oils.
Now, I have eaten things bad for me. I’m not just going to toss what I already have in the kitchen. And I’ve eaten fast food that has not been good for me. But I’m still feeling better, day by day.
