The junk science of conventional medicine

The Healthranger, Mike Adams, has a great new article, an alarming one, about medicine and drugs and what he calls ‘Big Pharma’ in the US.

It’s a wonderful article and you should read it and pass it on to your family and friends.

The point he is making is that one, if drugs make us healthy, than the US should be the healthiest nation on earth. We take tons of drugs, we drug our children, most senior citizens are taking at least one if not several drugs for various conditions. But we aren’t healthy.

Two, the drug culture we have here is based on our desire to be lazy, to avoid having to change our habits or do things that may require a little effort, to receive benefits without any costs. We want to eat junk food, food laden with chemicals and altered foods, then when our bodies rebel and we get sick, we want doctors to say ‘take this little blue/green/purple pill and you can go on doing what you are doing’.

That just doesn’t work. You have to make changes in your life or nothing will really change. It’s like building a house. If half the foundation slab slopes down then up, the house will never be quite right. You can slap paint on it, try to cover up the problems, but they are still there. Drugs are the paint, they only cover up the problems, they don’t solve them. You have to fix the foundation then everything else will work fine.
