Don’t Supersize yourself!

MSNBC has a good article about the effect of eating fast food regularly on your body. The article says that you eat more calories when you eat at fast food restaurants and you eat food that doesn’t really fill you up. You don’t get your vegetables (french fries don’t really count), and you get more empty calories from fat and sugar.

About the only ‘fast food’ place I eat anymore is at Subway and that is after reading their allergen chart and finding out what foods I will eat there.

Eat at home more, plan ahead and cook ahead. Your pocketbook and your body will thank you.
