Here in Portland the weather is starting to change. You see, in the summer here, it is sunny and dry with high pressure fronts. All summer. I open my front windows in early June and only 2 weeks ago did I close them down a little bit. But last week, we got our first low pressure, with some rain, a precursor of the winter, when it is overcast and rains-drizzles-mists pretty much from October till April. This is good, since everything gets green (including parking lots and roofs!) and it snows up in the mountains for the skiers and to build a snowpack to melt for water for the summer.
So, when the low pressure moved in, my body had to adjust. My right hand got achy, as it does 3-4 times a year. My asthma started acting up as did my knee. Orudis KT worked to get rid of the ache. Taking more BioAstin worked for my knee (reduces inflammation). And, getting more sun this week has helped my asthma.
I’ve also been very aware of what I’m eating. I don’t eat out unless it’s Subway, where I control what is in it. Eating more veggies and whole grains as well.
