June 16, 2000 Posted Crossing Brooklyn Ferry ... the first Uber-Xena story by Anon. This short story is special and the Cave is incredibly lucky to have it. Enjoy!April 25, 2000
Took the plunge and simplified the structure of the Cave. Too many folders and subfolders! What was that WebHermit thinking? <sigh> This rearrangement will be better into the future, but it also means that many links to stories have changed. The WebHermit attempted to put in passthrough pages for all the stories so that no links would be broken suddenly on index and review sites and to notify all such known sites. If you come across a broken link, please notify The WebHermit. (This will be better in the end. Really.)Corrected the coding on the Cave of Choirs Search page. Both the Cave Search and the Web Search should work better now (maybe!).Added links to the Cave of Choirs Search page from the top pages for Anon., Imbri, and Rebekah.Added links to Dany Byrne's site, Xena Fan Fiction for the Palm Pilot, from the top pages for Anon. and Rebekah. Thanks, Dany, for the recognition of these two authors and for the great service to all X:WP fiction fans on the move!Added links to Dreamworker Magazine's Anthology of Groundbreaking Xena Fanfic from the top pages for Anon. and Rebekah. This anthology includes both Childhood's End and All Through the Night. Thanks, Simahoyo and the rest of the Dreamworker Magazine crew, for the recognition of these authors and for such a fascinating take on the history of Xena fanfic! And everyone, take a look at Dreamworker Magazine. This site is full of wonderfully creative stories and information for writers. Great stuff!Added link to Rebekah's page of poems from Rebekah's Xena fanfic page.Adjusted the link to the Xippy Award logo on Rebekah's All Through the Night. (BTW, visit this award list on MaryD's fantastic site, the Australian Xena Information Page. It's a great introduction to the favorite fanfic of a talented person who's devoted to the show, Xena: Warrior Princess, and its fans. In fact, make sure you explore all the cool stuff MaryD has for you there!)Added a "site last revised" date to the Cave of Choirs top page.March 12, 2000
Added the FastSearch Web search to the Cave of Choirs site search and created a new Search page.Reorganized Lord Nelson's top page and added links to Lord Nelson's Xena Reviews at Starpoet and the Cave of Choirs Search page.March 5, 2000 OK, so it's been three months since The WebHermit crawled out from under the nearest rock. Unfortunately, the newest bard on The Cave of Choirs is the one who suffered, and for that The WebHermit heartily apologizes! Wecome to Caroline Holden in the recently excavated Romance cavern with the first chapter of her new Regency Romance, Lady Mary's Daughter. If you've never read a Regency, now's your chance! There's humor, intrigue, and a hint of ... well, romance, of course!December 5, 1999
As with any new site, the first "What's New?" entry is a cliche—it's all new! However, in the case of the Cave of Choirs, some totally new stuff is mixed in with some stuff that is actually ... uh ... recycled, yeah! Also, a lot of areas are still under excavation, but the WebHermit is working (though not particularly feverishly) on opening up all areas in the fullness of time. The Stories cavern (the most explored area so far), hosts several wonderful works of fan fiction from the Xenaverse -- the world of Xena: Warrior Princess (with occasional visits from characters from Hercules: The Legendary Journeys):
The The Essays cavern hosts two short works by Theoreo (no, not the cookie). Remember, the WebHermit does not work from the same calendar as the rest of us do, so new items will definitely not appear daily on the Cave of Choirs. They will, however, appear eventually. Check back every now and then to see what the WebHermit as turned up. |
