HMS Agamemnon?!

Return to the Stories cavern.

The WebHermit has the feeling that some visitors may be a wee bit skeptical at finding a full-sized, 18th century British ship of the line sailing an ocean inside of a cave.

Skepticism doesn't begin to describe the WebHermit's emotional state upon breaking through a cavern wall to ... a beach! Black sand, bright sea, gently lapping waves, a sailing ship bobbing at anchor in the bay, a small dingy onshore, and a crackling fire with this fellow in an old British naval uniform roasting marshmallows. Next to him was the biggest pile of paper the WebHermit had ever seen.

Being a Cool Creature, the WebHermit recovered quickly and demanded to know what the fellow was doing on the Cave's beach. The fellow turned out to be quite affable, announcing himself to be Lord Nelson on shore leave. After some conversation, the WebHermit agreed that Lord Nelson could continue to use the Cave Sea (newly named) in exchange for becoming an admiral in the Cave's Navy (newly formed) and  for contributing to the Cave's display collection. Lord Nelson accepted the commission and offered for display the huge pile of paper, the conveyance of which nearly broke the WebHermit's back. Still, the Cave now has a relaxing vacation spot, a naval presence, and a really long, really interesting Xena fanfic story ... all in all, a good trade. So, yeah, there's a whole ocean in here.
